Terms And Conditions
A legal disclaimer
California window tint laws in 2025 generally allow non-reflective tint on the top 4 inches of the windshield, require front side windows to allow at least 70% of light transmission, and permit any darkness for back side and rear windows, provided side mirrors are equipped if the rear window is tinted. Reflective tints are prohibited.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

-
Back Side Windows: Any darkness of tint is allowed for the back side windows.
-
Rear Window: Any darkness of tint is allowed for the rear window, but if tinted, dual side mirrors are required.
-
Reflectivity: Reflective or mirrored tints are prohibited.
-
Medical Exemptions: While exemptions for medical conditions may exist, they often still require colorless, non-reflective tint and may have restrictions on use (e.g., not at night).
-
Out-of-State Vehicles: Generally, out-of-state vehicles are not subject to California tint laws if they comply with their home state's regulations, but local law enforcement may still conduct checks.
-
Enforcement: Law enforcement can stop vehicles and test window tint darkness if they suspect a violation.
-
Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
-
Front Side Windows: These windows (driver and passenger side) must allow at least 70% of the light to pass through, meaning the tint can block no more than 30% of the light.
